AdThwart

AdThwart is an interesting extension for Google Chrome that will lock automatically any advertisement. It works in a similar way to Firefox AdBlock Plus, in fact, it uses the same engine.

Once you install it, you'll know it's running when you'll see the red face in the upper side of the window.

You can acess settings to change them and make the extension suit your needs. Change parameters to block advertising only from some websites or just a kind of banners.
